Question Slaver's Exile DMG credit

Hello all,
I'm trying to fill my normal mode Dungeon Master Guide and getting stonewalled by Duncan the Black. I only see people wanting to do it in hard mode because no one wants to do the run in normal mode. Will I get credit in my DMG [nm] if i finish the dungeon in hard mode?
Thanks,

No actually, you will get credit for HM. Normal trick is to do the other bosses in NM and Duncan HM to get HM credit and chest.

No, you have to finish Duncan in NM if you want credit for it in normal mode

OK,
I guess that I'll have to wait until Duncan is on the Zaishen Bounty (the 25th) and hope there are people willing to help me finish this dungeon.
Thanks,

As has already been said, you must destroy Duncan in NM if you want to get credit for Slaver's Exile in your NM book. The good news is that, with proper preparation, it is very possible to beat Duncan in NM with just H/H. Good hunting.

During the Zaishen Bounty, no one will help you do Duncan on NM any more than they will now. You get extra stuff for killing him in HM, so why would anyone do it NM? Just use Swap to move all the spirits away from him, if you need to you can pop a grail of might to give your H/H a bit more HP for when they stand in spirit rift. As long as you move recuperation away from him, you can just keep running at him if you wipe and kill him eventually. You shouldn't have to do that though, after I moved the spirits away, I beat him with only 1 wipe. Bring the interrupt henchman for Broad Head Arrow, and if you can bring a daze, do it. Makes it simple.

Thanks,
During ZB there'll probably be even LESS people doing it in NM! Follow the simple steps on wiki and you should be fine. I've done him H/H in NM and HM on a few occasions. Tip: a spirit spammer build works well, since his damage reversal skill direct damage to the spirits, not you.

Unfortunately, I cannot do a spirit spammer, my main is an elementalist. I have very few ritualist spells let alone elites. I would appretiate any tips on how to finish Duncan as an elementalist. I've read the wiki and the discussions but have very few of the elites outside of prophecies. I manage to get through the dwarves fair enough to not accrue too much death penalty, but after 2.6 seconds everyone is dead. The four henchies I take is Mhenlo, Zho,Herta and Devona. My three heroes are some variation of a necroway team, one curses ,one death, one blood. I take Assassin as secondary for swap.

It can still happen; in fact the last Duncan ZB was how I completed my own NM book. *shrug*

Probably the easiest way (not the fastest) to do it with H/H is to swap out all the spirits (which is quite time consuming). You'll want to take a necro hero with Spoil Victor (taking other similar skills like insidious parasite, or general degen helps as well) and a hero with prot spirit. Basically, once all the spirits are swapped out of range, flag the SV hero within casting range of duncan and maintain prot spirit on them. This hero alone (over the course of several minutes) will be able to bring Duncan's life down to close to nothing. Once he's down as low as SV can take him, just bum rush him and finish it. Duncan's reversal damage is not triggered by life-stealing or degen since its technically not damage, so these are good ways of getting around it. Make sure the rest of the party stays out of Duncan's range and this is a surefire way of taking him down.
